ExperienceIT adventures-About Us
Choose your own Italian adventure with us!
Our story is simple, a young Aussie family mad for all things Italian; food, wine, language and of course cycling packed up and took off for the Italian countryside. Four years later we are still here and very much part of everyday life in our village of Barolo, in the north-west of Italy.
As friends and family came to visit they all commented that the riding was amazing, from rolling hills to mountain passes there is always a new experience in the saddle. And out of the saddle the experiences were just as amazing from the famous Barolo wine to the exclusive white truffle this place is both cycling AND foodie heaven! We must let people know about it they said. So let’s do it we said, let’s open up our backyard to those who have a passion for cycling, food, wine and Italian culture.
ExperienceIT cycling and gastronomics for serious cyclists and serious foodies!
Why are we different?
We are not tourists bringing tourists to Italy to “see” Italy. This is our home, the people you meet are our friends, neighbours and we want to welcome you into our lives here in Italy. There are many tours but we want you to feel like you are not on tour but instead on holiday with your friends and enable you to experience Italy like a local.
We know the roads, the weather conditions, the language, the people, the amazing places to eat, drink or just sit and really appreciate this amazing part of Italy. Come with us and really experience it!
ExperienceIt adventures offer a wide range of services to enable you to get the most out of your visit. If you are keen on the cycling side of things we offer guided and self guided tours. We have fixed date guided tours that take in some of the best Gran Fondos or you can grab a group of four and come when you want. If you prefer to do it alone we have a range of maps and services to allow you to travel around at your own pace. You can either bring your bikes otherwise we have a bike hire facility offering both road and “hybrid” mountain bikes for rent.
Of course if you prefer to do it at a more leisurely pace we can forget the bike altogether and put together a great food and wine tour for you. These tours include visits to food and wine producers in the area as well as cooking and language courses as well if you like. Check out our gastronomic tours section for more informationBack to Top
